Meet Captain Dexter Early

A passionate outdoorsman, Captain Dexter Early grew up fishing Choctawhatchee Bay and its tributaries. His family has been on the water for generations and Captain Dexter was introduced to the fishing business at an early age. As he grew up, he spent countless hours working on commercial fishing boats as a deckhand. Then later he owned his own 58 ft. X 19 ft. shrimp trawler for over 20 years. Growing up playing and then later earning a living from these waters contributes to his vast knowledge of the local waters and all their inhabitants. Nowadays, he translates this knowledge to his clients by providing a fun fishing experience whether his clients are beginners or experienced anglers. Kids are one of his favorite clients. With patience, Captain Dexter enjoys teaching new anglers the art of fishing.

The boat you’ll be fishing on is an 18 ft Tracker, a skiff designed for inshore fishing. Built in 2016, this aluminum fishing boat is perfect for navigating the shallow waters of Panama City Beach, allowing access to the best fishing grounds. Powered by a 60HP Suzuki engine, the boat can reach a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots, ensuring you get to your fishing destination quickly and efficiently.
